Stereo Speaker of the Week

BG Corp. has built their line of in-room and in-wall speakers around planar ribbon midranges and tweeters, which, in my opinion offer outstanding clarity, transparency and detail. I’ve reviewed several of their speakers, starting with the amazing R-800, their $12,000 per pair in-wall speakers with six midrange and sixteen planar ribbon tweeters, which I described in my review as ‘Extreme Audio’. Most recently I had a chance to audition their new Z-92 floorstanding tower speakers, a much more affordable loudspeaker that also uses their planar ribbon drivers. Has BG done it again?
