Stereo Tip: Bi-wiring and Bi-amplifying Stereo Speakers

From Gary Altunian, About.com GuideJune 2, 2008

Bi-wiring a speaker is an inexpensive way to improve the performance of your stereo system. Bi-wiring means running two identical lengths of wire to each speaker, one to the woofer section and one to the tweeter section of the speaker, or purchasing a set of bi-wire speaker cables. Bi-amplifying is another good way to improve performance, but is more costly than bi-wiring. Not all speakers can be bi-wired or bi-amplified, but you can learn more in my article, which can be found in the How to Optimize Stereo System Performance section of the site.
