SpeakerCraft, long known for their custom installation speakers, is introducing the Vital line of receivers as part of an effort to focus more on electronics. The Vital 710 is a stereo receiver with 80-watts x 2 designed to be used as a stand-alone component or as part of a multiroom system. Its power supply delivers high current output capable of driving low impedance loads. It also features composite video switching, front panel AV inputs and a phono input. The Vital 710 will have a suggested retail price of $425.00. The Vital 910 is a 7.1-channel AV receiver with 130-watts x 7, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD decoding, Faroudja video up-conversion to 1080p from any of its 17 video inputs and an iPod dock. The Vital 910 has a suggested retail price of $1250.00. Availability dates were not announced.
