Mini Systems & Shelf Systems - Stereos for Dorm Rooms and Studio Apartments

Space is valuable in dorm rooms and studio apartments, so a small stereo system is ideal. But small doesn’t mean compromising sound quality. Mini stereo systems or shelf systems have great sound quality and offer many of the features found in larger home audio systems. A mini stereo system has a receiver and disc player and two small shelf speakers. With a good mini system you get very good sound quality in a system that takes much less space. A good example is Yamaha's line of contemporary styled mini systems . Some models even have a USB port so you can play your music stored on a USB device, such as a thumb drive or external USB storage component. Sony offers a slightly bolder look with their line of mini systems, some with surround sound capability. These are just a few of the examples of stereos for small spaces.
