Definition: A crossover is an electronic device that is used to send the appropriate signal to the correct speakers or drivers. A crossover sends only high frequencies to the tweeter, midrange frequencies to the midrange driver and so on.

Examples: A three-way speaker uses a crossover to send specific frequencies to the correct speaker.
