Triad Speakers serves the custom installation business, but with a unique twist. Triad distinguishes itself by providing truly custom speaker solutions that are built to order. The company manufacturers in-wall, in-room, in-ceiling and on-wall speakers based on the needs of the customer and maintains no inventory of finished products.
The Triad Gold/6 LCR is the company’s flagship LCR in-wall speaker system and features two 8.5-inch metal cone woofers, one 5.5-inch coated paper midrange and one 1-inch fabric dome tweeter. The Gold/6 LCR uses custom-designed Seas drivers from Norway. Triad’s Gold/6 in-walls speakers have very solid and heavily braced enclosures. The Gold/6 is the largest of Triad’s in-wall speakers and is designed for a wall depth of 6-inches or can be installed in false walls.
While listening to two-channel sources, one of the first most notable characteristics of the In-Wall Gold/6s is their striking openness, transparency and clarity with vocals and instrumentals alike. The sound is unveiled and clean as if there are no speakers, just a live performance.
For many avid music listeners, the bass has to be right or nothing sounds good, and here the Triad’s excel.
Perhaps the most prominent musical quality of the Triad’s is the seamless coherency between the different drivers. Some speakers sound as if there is a peak or dip at certain frequencies, and although the exact frequency is hard to pinpoint and the effect often slight, it’s noticeable – not with the Triads. It’s like listening to a single full-range driver with no crossover. The result is a believable soundstage with focused imaging as if you are seated in the best seat in the house of a fine performance venue.
Construction quality is excellent and they offer a 10-year limited warranty on their speakers.
