Selection and Variety of Outdoor Speakers Expands

Introduction :

The selection and variety of outdoor stereo speakers for the garden and patio continues to grow as manufacturers respond to consumer demand. In recent years, outdoor stereo speakers of every type have become very popular as consumers enjoy music in their backyard, around the pool or spa and in the garden. Here's a sampling of the wide variety of new outdoor speakers on the market. As more new outdoor speakers are announced, I'll add to the list so check back often for information about new models.

Sonance Mariner Outdoor Speakers and Rock Speakers :

The Sonance Mariner Series outdoor speakers offer a weather resistant cabinet and feature a FastMount™ bracket for easy installation. They are two-way speakers with a 5.25" woofer up to an 8" woofer and tweeter. Some models are designed for installation in a boat or RV. The Sonance Rock Series speakers resemble real rocks and are designed to blend in with rocks in the garden. In fact, it's hard to tell the difference between real rocks and the speaker rocks. Stereostone Offers a Planter Box, a Fountain, and a Tree Stump Outdoor Speaker:

Stereostone has a wide variety of outdoor speakers including a new planter box, a fountain and even a tree stump with built-in outdoors speakers. They also offer several different sizes and styles of speaker rocks with a choice of seven colors to blend seamlessly into almost any landscape. Madison Fielding Takes Home Theater Sound Outdoors:

Madison Fielding offers an 84" garden bench with built-in home theater speakers. The bench is made of white Maine cedar and includes a left and right speaker with two center channel speakers. It can also be ordered with two 8" subwoofers for extra bass. It is designed to be used with a large outdoor screen of waterproof LCD TV. They also offer a Terra Cotta planter speaker, an outdoor music bench that projects sound in one or two directions and other planter boxes with built-in outdoor speakers. JBL Control NOW Outdoor Speakers:

JBL offers its Control NOW series of outdoor (and indoor) speakers that feature a unique quarter-round design for multiple installation possibilities. They can be corner-mounted between a ceiling and a wall, joined together in half-round, three-quarter round or full-round configurations, even hung from the ceiling with an optional pole-mount. Each speaker has twin 4-inch woofers and a Bi-Radial horn tweeter designed for high output.
